The First Two Weeks

Having just arrived in this beautiful country two weeks ago, I have to say that I'm still adjusting.Be that as it may, however, I have tried hard to keep the creative juices flowing.
Florence has been inspiring to me on several levels so far. The immense collection of artwork has taken my breath away, and the sculpture has surpassed anything I've ever seen in the states. I love the collection of sculptures that guards the Uffizi. The work contains true emotion and life that I have never before seen in sculpture. Of course, now that I actually have my card, I look forward to seeing even more brilliant works.
I am also astounded by the gaffiti I've seen in Florence-which far surpasses anything in Texas. I 've snapped some photos to keep as mementos.
Finally, Europe's natural landscape is also astounding to me. Going on the trip to Fiesole was great, and I was astounded by the beauty of the ladscape and the sky.
At any rate, I have been trying to keep up the sketches and hope to post some as soon as I can figure out the scanner.
